Malayalam
movie
Traffic,
which
had
hit
the
screens
on
7th
January
in
2011,
has
successfully
completed
the
100
days'
run
at
the
Box
Office.
Now,
the
film
bosses
are
said
to
be
making
efforts
to
bring
in
Superstar
Kamal
Hassan,
who
will
be
donning
the
lead
role
in
its
Tamil
remake,
to
the
100
days'
celebration
function
of
Traffic.
Traffic
happens
to
be
the
first
Malayalam
film
to
complete
100
days
at
Box
Office
in
2011.
The
movie
made
a
tough
beginning
at
collection
centres
in
the
first
two
weeks.
Despite
having
a
wonderful
story,
it
failed
to
do
well
due
to
lack
of
publicity.
Director
Rajesh
Pillai
had
blamed
the
producers
for
this
sad
beginning.
However,
the
film
has
reportedly
made
a
profit
of
approximately
Rs.
2.5
crores.
Traffic
is
an
emotional
thriller
based
on
a
road
trip
from
Kochi
to
Palakkad.
The
movie
has
achieved
both
critical
and
commercial
success,
which
has
created
lots
of
demand
for
its
remake
rights
in
different
languages.
Kamal
Hassan
was
also
impressed
by
Rahman's
character
of
a
cine
star
in
the
film.
He
has
even
expressed
his
wish
to
act
in
the
remake
of
the
movie
in
Tamil.
