South
Indian
film
actress
Kavya
Madhavan,
who
started
her
acting
career
as
a
child
artist
with
director
Kamal"s
film
Pookkalam
Varavayi
in
1991,
is
again
signed
by
the
director
for
his
latest
project
Gadhama.
The
director
is
keeping
very
high
hopes
from
the
film
and
expects
that
Kavya
brings
home
many
more
awards
with
her
performance
in
Gadhama.
It
has
also
been
a
totally
different
experience
for
the
actress
to
shoot
for
the
film
as
it
was
entirely
captured
in
the
Gulf
countries.
She
plays
the
title
role
of
Gadhama
in
this
film.
Her
character
Aswathy
will
be
seen
wearing
'purdah" in
the
film
and
it
was
like
total
transformation
for
this
26
year
old
actress.
Kavya
says
that
she
felt
like
she
is
not
free
anymore.
Speaking
about
her
experience
while
shooting
the
film,
Kavya
says
that
it
was
a
fabulous
journey
since
she
got
the
opportunity
to
work
with
many
Indonesian,
Iranian,
Arabic
and
Egyptian
artists.
Kavya
adds
that
she
was
lucky
to
get
the
script
in
advance
and
therefore
she
could
make
early
preparations
for
her
role.
Director
Kamal
says
that
his
film
Pookalam
Varavayi
got
Kavya
'State
Award"
and
he
is
expecting
many
more
awards
for
her
role
in
Gadhama.
He
is
keeping
higher
hopes
for
her
through
this
film.
According
to
Kamal,
her
role
in
this
film
is
much
above
the
other
characters
she
played
till
date,
so
more
honors
and
accolades
are
expected.
The
director
says
that
he
found
Kavya
best
suitable
for
the
role
in
Gadhama
and
she
also
did
it
with
total
dedication
and
perfection.
He
informs
that
Kavya
stopped
taking
proper
food
for
around
15
days
to
bring
in
the
kind
of
suffering
her
character
goes
through.
We
hope
Kavya"s
hard
work
is
paid
and
she
receives
much
more
awards
in
the
coming
days.
