Malayalam film Kayam, which features Manoj K Jayan, Bala and Shwetha Menon in the leads, has failed to do well at the Kerala Box Office. But the producer of the film is very confident about its content. In a desperate bid to cash in it, he has planned to dub the movie in Tamil as Tharam. Sources claim that he has planned to promote it as a soft- porn film to reach its target audiences.
Kayam is romantic movie, which has been directed by Anil K Nair and produced by Haridas Subhash. Shwetha Menon is very popular for her sultry siren image in Tamil. The producer considers this image as a commercial potential for his film and has reportedly planned to cash in it by dubbing the movie in Tamil as Tharam.
Meanwhile, Shwetha Menon has recently filed a complaint to the Vanitha Commission to take legal action against producer Haridas Subhash for misusing her stills from the film Kayam for an ad of a sexual steroid pill. She has alleged that the scenes shot for the movie have been used to market the product without her knowledge and consent.
