It is reported that he took this decision after he faced dates' issue of actors Mohanlal and Prithviraj.

The movie Cousins is the most ambitious project of Lal Jose. He is said to have put his mind soul in it and has put in lot of interest in preparing the screenplay of the film along with Iqbal Kuttippuram. He was even successful in roping in superstars like Mohanlal and Prithviraj for this big budget film. But he is said to have faced dates problem in bringing Mohanlal and Pritviraj together.

The much-hyped flick Cousins is an action-cum-comedy flick and it is all about the relation between the young man and his cousin. Mohanlal and Prithviraj were to play cousins in the movie. Lal Jose has reportedly kept most of its details about cast and crew, its shooting and locations under the wrap.

However, Lal Jose has reportedly moved on from the project and is gearing up to do another movie. According to industry sources, the director is all set to direct actor Dileep in his next flick. Benny P Nairambalam is writing the screenplay for it. It should be recalled that the trio has already given mega film like Chandupottu.
