delayed

time,
is
finally
hitting
the
thetres
across
the
country.
The
much-hyped
action
flick
has
been
directed
by
Shaji
Kailas
and
produced
by
M
Mani.
It
is
now
scheduled
to
release
in
150
theatres
on
March
24.
The
film
August
15
is
a
sequel
to
the
1988
film
August
1
and
SN
Swamy,
who
had
written
story
for
the
original,
has
penned
the
script
for
it
too.
The
film
is
all
about
an
investigation
into
an
attempt
of
assassination
on
the
Chief
Minister
of
Kerala
on
the
15th
of
August,
the
Independence
Day
of
India.
Mammootty
is
playing
Crime
Branch
officer
Perumal
in
August
15.
Actress
Meghana
Raj
is
essaying
the
role
of
a
Cyber
Cell
officer,
while
Swetha
Menon
appears
as
a
doctor.
Siddique,
Madhu,
Lalu
Alex,
Saikumar,
Nedumudi
Venu,
Balachandran
Chullikkadu,
Thalaivasal
Vijay,
Biju
Pappan
are
in
other
star
cast.
However,
August
15
was
earlier
slated
to
release
on
December
25
and
later
it
was
postponed
to
January
26.
But
it
again
got
delayed
for
some
unknown
reason.
Now,
sources
claim
that
since
assembly
elections
are
going
on
in
Kerala,
it
is
expected
to
make
huge
impact
on
the
audience.
