Kerala
tomorrow
(Thursday,
June
30).
The
film
is
based
on
the
impact
of
the
Mumbai
blasts
of
1993
on
several
individuals.
The
Malayalam
actor
is
playing
two
real-life
characters
like
PDP
leader
Abdul
Nasser
Madani
and
Sameer,
who
were
wrongly
accused
in
different
blast
cases
and
kept
in
jail
for
several
years.
Director
Babu
Janardanan
says
that
he
has
approached
the
issue
from
the
human
rights
angle.
Talking
to
Deccan
Chronicle,
the
director
says,
“Only
the
core
idea
is
taken
from
real
life
and
the
rest
is
fiction.
Madani
is
a
political
leader.
But
Sameer
is
presented
as
an
ordinary
person."
Madani
was
arrested
in
Coimbatore
blast
case
on
March
31,
1998
and
he
spent
nine
and
half
years
in
prison
before
being
acquitted
of
all
charges
in
October
2007.
Sameer
also
spends
nine
and
a
half
years
in
jail
and
is
finally
acquitted
of
all
charges.
