Speaking to a leading news agency, Mamootty, who turned 58 this month said, “Along with NIMS Hospital two years back we had announced that 100 poor patients would be given totally free treatment, including by-pass surgeries. We did that and now we have decided to carry forward the scheme for another 250 more poor patients".
Mammootty, who is actively involved in social service is expected to visit the hospital on Thursday. The superstar even plans to spend some time with those who underwent heart surgeries.
Mamootty, who does charity work through his Fans Association also provides free cataract surgeries apart from sponsoring heart surgeries.
