Mammootty
has
expressed
his
support
to
the
Anti-Drugs
Campaign
in
Kerala.
The
South
Indian
Superstar
was
the
chief
guest
at
the
Anti-Liquor
Campaign
organised
by
the
State
Excise
Department
at
the
Town
Hall
in
Ernakulam
on
Sunday.
Meanwhile,
he
gave
a
call
to
youths
to
stay
away
from
drugs.
Talking
about
drug
abuse,
Mammootty
narrated
a
shocking
story
of
a
prisoner,
whom
he
met
in
central
jail
five
years
ago
during
the
shooting
of
his
movie.
The
actor
revealed
that
the
prisoner's
college-going
son
was
a
drug
addict
and
he
killed
him
when
he
was
trying
to
rape
his
mother
under
the
influence
of
alcohol.
However,
the
State
Govt.
has
intended
to
bring
awareness
among
the
youth
through
the
Anti-Drugs
Campaign.
According
to
reports
the
Excise
Department
is
considering
to
make
a
short
film
on
Drug
abuse
for
the
campuses
and
is
also
planning
to
rope
in
Mammootty
to
carry
the
campaign
even
further.
