Snehaveedu is the first big film to be released in October. Directed jointly by Mohanlal and director Satyan Anthikkad. Snehaveedu is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Films. Mohanlal plays the role of Ajayan who is Ammukkutty Amma's only son. Veteran actress Sheela will portray the role of Ammukkutty Amma in Snehaveedu. The script has been done by the director combo and cinematography is by Venu. Ilayaraja is the music composer for Snehaveedu.
Next in line is Dileep's Mr Marumakan, a comedy film. Mr Marumakan, produced by Maha Subair under the banner Varnachitra Big Screen is directed by Sandhya Mohan. Dileep plays the character of Asok Chakravarthy in Mr Marumakan with Sanusha as his heroine. The star cast also includes Tamil actors Bhagyaraj and Khushboo along with Salimkumar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Nedumudi Venu and Biju Menon. Mr Marumakan is expected to hit the big screen on October 26.
Indian Rupee, directed by Ranjith is also expected to release in October. Indian Rupee is produced by Prithviraj's production house August Cinemas and will have Prithviraj adorn the lead role in the film. Thilakan, Reema Kallingal and Revathy portray the other major roles in Indian Rupee.
The month of November is a treat for Mammooty-Mohanlal fans. Mammootty's Venicele Vyapari and Mohanlal's Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nairum is in the pipeline for release.
Mohanlal and director Priyadarshan are back after a gap of ten years with Arabiyum Ottakavum P Madhavan Nairum. The film is produced by Ashok Kumar, Jamal Al Nuaimi and Naveen Sasidharan. Mukesh, Vidya Balan, Lakshmi Rai, Bhavana and Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor will also play pivotal roles in the film.
Mammootty's Venicele Vyapari, directed by Shafi is an entertainer set in the backdrop of 1980s. Mammootty will play the role of Pavithran, a coir merchant in the movie. Kavya Madhavan will play the female lead in the film. The star cast also include Suraj Venjaramoodu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Salimkumar, Janardhanan and Suresh Krishna. Madhavan Nair is producing the film under the banner of Murali Films.
The King and the Commissioner with Mammootty and Suresh Gopi in the lead roles is slated for release on December 16. The King and the Commissioner will have two super hit characters - Joseph Alex from the movie The King and Bharath chandran from Commissioner, appear together on screen. The film, scripted by Renji Panicker is directed by Shaji Kailas and produced under the banner of Emperor Cinema.
The month of December will also see Director Johny Antony's Masters hit the big theatre. Masters will have Prithviraj and Tamil actor Sasikumar of Subramaniapuram fame star in the film. Masters, scripted by Jinu Abraham is being produced by B Sharath Chandran under the banner Sincere Cinema.
