Mohanlal upsets director Ranjith?

Director Ranjith, along with veteran actor Mohanlal has brought some brilliant characters on screen - Mangalasheri Neelakandan, Indhu Choodhan, Jagannathan and Karthikeyan are some of the memorable characters that have come on screen through the Mohanlal-Ranjth combination. However, the two haven't come together since their last film Rock n Roll.

According to director and writer Ranjith, only the characters adorned by Mohanlal will be good. Ranjith made it clear that if he got a chance, he would like to cast Mohanlal time and again in his films. However, he felt that the task of going up to Mohanlal with a script is very difficult as he is always surrounded by crowd of people.

Ranjith spoke about his desire to cast Mohanlal in his film in an interview with Mathrubhoomi.

When asked if the audience will not get to watch more of Mohanlal-Ranjith combination, the director spoke again about the interference by others around Mohanlal. He said that “ I know Mohanlal for too many years to give importance to all those people around him." Ranjith is of the opinion that he should be able to approach the actor directly. However, Ranjith said that he does not face any such problem with Mammootty.
