Bollywood
film
titled
Aiyya
opposite
Rani
Mukherjee.
Aiyaa
is
being
directed
by
the
National
Award
winning
Marathi
director
Sachin
Kundalkar.
Prithviraj
will
begin
shooting
for
the
film
Aiyya
in
Mumbai
from
October
first
week.
The
plot
is
set
against
a
Marathi
family
background
in
Mumbai.
Rani
Mukherjee
adorns
the
role
of
a
typical
Maharashtrian
girl
dressed
in
Salwars
and
will
be
speaking
in
Marathi
mixed
with
Hindi.
Prithviraj
will
play
the
role
of
a
Tamil
boy
who
speaks
Hindi
with
a
strong
southern
accent.
In
an
interview
with
a
leading
newspaper,
the
National
Award
winning
Marathi
director
Sachin
Kundalkar
said:
“Aiyya
is
my
first
Hindi
film.
It
is
going
to
be
a
romantic
quirky
love
story
between
a
Maharashtrian
girl
and
a
south
Indian
guy."
Speaking
about
his
decision
to
do
the
Bollywood
film,
Prithviraj
said,
“I
rejected
plenty
of
offers
from
Hindi.
However,
I
found
Anurag's
script
so
interesting
that
I
decided
that
Aiyya
would
be
my
first
Hindi
film.
I'll
also
be
dubbing
for
the
movie
in
Hindi."
