Rajesh Pillai to remake Traffic in Bollywood

Director Rajesh Pillai is thrilled with the huge success of his Malayalam movie Traffic, which has come as a whiff of fresh air in Malayalam cinema. Now, Malayali helmer has announced to remake the hit film in Bollywood. The director himself is directing this Hindi remake, which will be produced under the banner of Endemol India.

The remake rights of Traffic had huge demand from various languages within a couple of weeks after its release. Now, Endemol India has acquired the remake rights for Traffic in Hindi. With this, the studio is gearing up for its big screen debut after producing several reality shows for television.

According to reports, Sunny Deol and Jimmy Shergill essaying the roles played by Rahman and Kunchakko Bobban in th Hindi remake of Traffic. The names of Nana Patekar and Manoj Bajpai are being considered for the role played by Sreenivasan. Actress Raadhika Apte is also said to reprise an important role in the movie.

The Hindi remake of Traffic will have five songs, which are composed by the Mithoon Sharma. Mejo Joseph will handle re-recording work, while Shreya Ghosal will lead the play back scoring. Sources claim that a lead Malayalam actor will do a guest role in the movie, which is expected to start shooting in August and will complete it in 5 schedules.
