Santosh Sivan's Urumi releasing in four languages

Cinematographer-cum-director Santosh Sivan's latest movie Urumi is simultaneously being made in four languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and English. The film is now making brisk progress and is expected to hit the screens worldwide on 31st March. Experts say that it is going to be the biggest release of this summer.

The movie Urumi is based on the attempted assassination of Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama, who arrived in Kappad near Calicut in 1498. So its English version has been titled Vasco Da Gama. It will be Pathinaindham Nootrandu Uraivaal (PNU) in Tamil. The title of Hindi version is yet-to-be announced.

Urumi is being produced by Santosh Sivan, Prithviraj and Shaji Natesan under the banner August Cinema. It boasts of star cast of Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Arya, Genelia, Vidya Balan, Tabu, Nithya Menon, Jagathy, Amole Gupte, Chandan Roy Sanyal, who are popular actors from different Indian languages. It has the music of AR Rahman's ex-keyboard player Deepak Dev.
