has
planned
to
go
on
a
hunger
strike
against
state
and
central
government
authorities,
alleging
that
they
have
gobbled
up
the
project
of
50
crores
cinema
complex
at
the
Tagore
Theatre
premises
in
Thiruvananthapuram.
His
announcement
comes
after
the
news
that
the
project
has
been
cancelled
due
to
some
unknown
reasons.
On
Friday,
the
Malayalam
star
held
a
press
meet
at
his
residence
in
Sasthamangalam,
where
he
announced
his
decision
to
go
on
hunger
strike.
Suresh
Gopi
revealed
that
he
will
stage
dharna
and
hunger
strike
on
October
4
in
front
of
Tagore
Hall
and
he
would
fight
for
a
sophisticated
cinema
complex.
Suresh
Gopi
said,
“The
Tagore
Theatre
should
be
restructured
with
all
sophisticated
equipments
like
Goan
Festival
City
so
that
we
can
conduct
Film
festival
with
International
facility."
The
actor
added
that
the
protest
is
not
against
government,
but
those
who
torpedoed
the
project.
The
protest
will
be
organised
by
Trivandrum
Film
Fraternity.
