Bollywood
actress
Vidya
Balan,
who
is
making
her
entry
into
Malayalam
films
with
the
movie
Urumi,
has
dubbed
in
her
own
voice
for
her
first
movie,
which
is
being
directed
by
Santosh
Sivan.
She
is
playing
a
cameo
role
and
she
also
appears
in
a
dance
number
in
Prithviraj's
starrer
film.
Vidya
Balan
is
basically
from
Kerala
and
she
is
very
fluent
in
Malayalam.
The
actress
insisted
Santosh
Sivan
to
dub
her
own
voice
for
the
movie
Urumi.
So
the
director
had
to
make
arrangements
in
Mumbai
so
that
she
should
not
have
to
travel
all
the
way
to
South
just
for
dubbing,
claims
the
sources.
However,
Vidya
Balan
had
planned
to
begin
her
acting
career
with
a
Malayalam
movie.
She
had
even
got
an
offer
to
star
alongside
Superstar
Mohanlal.
But
movie
bossed
put
on
hold
the
project
for
some
reason
and
later
roped
in
another
actress
for
the
female
lead
in
when
it
was
restarted.
