Jagathy
Sreekumar,
who
was
gravely
injured
after
he
met
with
an
accident
at
nearby
Tenhipalam
on
March
10,
was
able
to
recognise
his
college
mates.
It
was
earlier
reported
that
Jagathy
Sreekumar,
who
is
now
being
treated
at
CMC
Vellore,
was
unable
to
recognise
people
around
him.
However,
recently
when
his
college
batchmates
Dr
Titus
Sankaramangalam
and
actor
Ravi
Vallathol
visited
Jagathy
at
the
hospital,
he
responded
positively
to
them.
The
two
had
studied
with
Jagathy
in
1971
at
Mar
Ivanios
College
in
Thiruvananthapuram.
Reports
say
that
the
actor's
right
leg
and
hand
are
little
paralysed,
but
responding
well
to
medication
and
therapies.
At
the
time
of
the
visit,
Jagathy
Sreekumar
was
seen
playing
cards
on
the
bed
(as
per
the
advice
by
the
doctor
as
part
of
the
neuro
rehabilitation
treatment).
Jagathy
Sreekumar
is
recuperating
past,
though
he
is
still
to
regain
his
speaking
ability.
According
to
reports,
Jagathy's
nasal
feeding
tube
was
removed
on
Wednesday
and
the
actor
has
begun
consuming
idli
for
breakfast,
rice
and
fish
curry
for
lunch
and
porridge
at
night.
If
the
actor
continues
to
show
progress,
he
might
be
able
to
leave
the
hospital
by
September.
