Mammootty's fans cross one lakh on Facebook

Superstar Mammootty's fan following has crossed one lakh. In order to celebrate the occasion, many of Mammootty's fans dropped in at the shooting location of his forthcoming movie Cobra at Kalamassery.

When Mammootty came to know that his fans wanted to celebrate the numerically important milestone in the life of their superstar, Mammootty obliged and cut a cake as requested by his fans.

The surprise visit came from Susheela George, the chairperson of the Abu Dhabi-based Sherwood International School. Susheela was among the friends that Mammootty won through Facebook.

Mammootty had some time back posted a request on Facebook seeking help for free heart surgeries for children. The surgery is being conducted through the charity organisation Care and Share International Foundation, of which Mammootty is the patron.

Susheela George had earlier promised to donate Rs 1 crore for this noble cause. In fact, she had even handed over Rs 20 lakh to the charity through her manager.

When Susheela George met Mammootty for the first time, she even handed a cheque of Rs 30 lakh to the superstar for the charity.

The Care and Share International Foundation has so far carried out 98 heart surgeries for children who cannot afford an expensive operation.
