saw
a
number
of
Malayalam
films
clash
at
the
Box
Office.
As
expected,
it
was
Dileep's
Mr
Marumakan
(released
on
August
18)
and
Mammootty's
Thappana
(released
on
August
19),
which
managed
to
rock
the
Kerala
Box
Office.
The
two
films
took
off
well
and
had
a
decent
opening.
While
the
film
Friday
opened
to
a
lukewarm
response,
Allu
Arjun's
Gajapokkiri
did
average
business
at
the
Box
Office.
Dileep's
comedy
Mr
Marumakan
was
at
the
first
spot
as
within
three
days
(Aug
18,
19
&
20).
The
film
grossed
approximately
Rs
2.90
crores
from
72
centres.
Mammootty's
Thappana
which
released
in
80
screens
on
August
19
was
spotted
second.
Thattathin
Marayathu
remained
constant
in
the
third
spot
with
Ustad
Hotel
at
number
four.
Gajapokkiri
is
at
number
five
as
far
as
Box
Office
collections
are
concerned.
