Director Sasi Mohan dies of cardiac arrest

Sasi Mohan (Dinesh), Tamil-Malayalam film director died at his residence at Kodambakkam in Chennai in the wee hours of Monday morning. He was 56 and suffered a huge cardiac arrest.

Sasi Mohan, fondly known as Dinesh has been suffering from liver disease since the past few years. During this stage, he made the Tamil film Oodu Thalam. The film is all set to release. Sasi Mohan has directed nearly 25 films in Malayalam and Tamil. The filmmaker entered tinselville as a child artist in 1968 and later he assisted IV Sasi, Hariharan, AB Raj and Sasi Kumar. Sasi Mohan made his debut with Chuvanna Kannukal. His other Malayalam films include Mookkilla Rajyath, Apoorva Sangamam, Noottonnu Raavukal, Miss India and Thilakam.

Sasi Mohan is survived by wife Sree Ranjini and children Sree Vishnu and Sree Balan. His body was later taken to his native place in Kannur. The funeral took place on Tuesday.
