22 Female Kottayam Gets A Tamil Remake

22 Female Kottayam (22FK), directed by Ashiq Abu, won much appreciation at the 60th Idea South Filmfare Awards. Both Fahad Fazil and Rima Kallingal won the Best Actor and Actress Award for this movie. Latest news about 22FK is that the film is getting its Tamil remake.

The Tamil remake is titled Malini 22 Palayam Kottai. Nithya Menon will play the role portrayed by Rima. Yesteryear actress Jayabharathi's son Krish J Sathar will play Fahad Fazil in the Tamil remake.

Another highlight of the movie is that Nithya is making a comeback as singer in this movie. She has sung the introduction song for Malini 22 Palayam Kottai. Kovai Sarala and Vidyullekha Raman have accompanied her in singing. Aravind Shankar has scored the music for the song. Nithya Menon has also sung for Kannada and Telugu films. Poppins movie marked her debut as a singer in Malayalam.

Malini 22 Palayam Kottai will be directed by the yesteryear actress Sreepriya. The director says that the Tamil version will not be an exact copy of 22FK, but it will get its remake in Chennai style.
