Camel Safari - A Love Story In Desert

Camel Safari is the upcoming movie directed by Jayaraj. Fresh faces Arun Sankar and Pankaja Menon are seen playing the lead characters. The movie features a love story in the backdrop of a desert.

Shot exclusively in Pushkar, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and other picturesque locales of Rajasthan, the film unravels the love story of a Malayali girl and a charming Rajaputra boy she courts. Pushkar Mela, one of the biggest fair in India, will get a special narration in Camel Safari.

"Unlike the usual stories in which the hero woos the heroine and confronts many hardships later, this film is narrated in an untrodden way. The heroine, who is a management student in Mangalore, pays a 15 day visit to Rajasthan to attend a marriage function. There, she collides with a desi boy, and soon she falls in love with him. What follows her in the unknown land is the crux of the film which is an out-and-out entertainer," says Jayaraj.

Shekar Menon, Vishnu Mohan, Tini Tom, Hashim, Neha Ramesh and Jayraj's wife Sabitha Jayaraj are the other actors of the film. Kamal Gaur, who was seen as the callous drug dealer swami in the Malayalam movie Johnnie Walker 17 years ago, and later in Highway and Janam, is seen in the film as the hero's elder brother. He is seen as a villain in this flick too.

Thomas Thoppilkkudi is the scriptwriter. Lyrics are penned by Kaithapram and are tuned by his son Deepankuran. There are five songs in the film. The film is produced by Jayaraj and Rejimon Kappaparambil under the banner of New Generation Cinema.
