Catherine Tresa Is Busy In Kollywood!

Catherine Tresa made her debut in the industry with the movie The Thriller. Uppukandam Brothers Back In Action was her another movie. Unfortunately, the actress did not flourish in the industry. So, she moved to Kannada and Telugu movies. Now, the actress is heading to Kollywood and guess what, she will be romancing Karthi in her Tamil film!

Kaali is an old movie directed by IV Sasi, where Rajinikanth and Seema played the lead roles. Director Ranjith will be remaking the same film with Karthi and Catherine Tresa, which revolves around a crazy football player, who lives in a slum. The new script will be having some changes, says the director.

Kaali was a film made by IV Sasi in Tamil and Telugu. The film was produced by Hemant Nag. Music was scored by Ilayaraja and the camera was wielded by Ashok Kumar. K Narayanan, who had worked with I V Sasi in a number of movies, did the editing of the film.

Kaali was released by Hem Nag on 19th Sep, 1980 which was a hit in both the languages. Along with Rajinikanth and Seema, the movie also had Vijayakumar and Jayalakshmi in prominent roles. In the Telugu version, Rajinikanth essayed the same role, while Chiranjeevi replaced Vijayakumar. This was the first movie which had Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi together on screen. Seema enacted dual roles in this film. Kaikala Satyanarayana played the villain in both the versions.
