Dileep is a versatile actor. We can judge his dedication he has put for the success of his films. Right from Kunjikoonan to Sound Thoma, his character makeover has surprised both his fans as well as others. The commitment towards his character is incomparable to anyone in the industry.

Dileep started off his career as a mimicry artist at Kalabhavan. Jayaram introduced him to the film industry. Primarily, he did cameo roles in films and then he became the assistant director to Kamal. From there he came out successfully as an actor and his first hit was Sallapam, opposite to his wife-actress Manju Warrier. After their marriage, Manju stepped back from the industry. But she proved lucky from him and he became one of the most entertaining actor in the industry.

Dileep In Kunjikoonan

Dileep played a handicapped person in this film. It had him playing dual roles. Navya Nair was the heroine. This movie was later remade to Tamil as Perazhagan, starring Surya Sivakumar and Jyothika.

Pachakuthira

This Kamal directed film also had him in dual roles. Gopika played opposite him. This comedy film was panned by the critics and was a Box Office success as well.

Chanthupottu

Chanthupottu, directed by Lal Jose and written by Benny P Nayarambalam is produced by Lal. The story is about a man named Radhakrishnan who was brought up like a girl by his grandmother. Dileep played the role of Radhakrishnan in the film.

Chakkara Muthu

Chakkara Muthu by the late director AK Lohithadas had Dileep and Kavya Madhavan playing the lead. Dileep played the role of a mentally retarded person in this movie.

Mayamohini

Mayamohini was a comedy film directed by Jose Thomas and written by Udayakrishna and Siby K Thomas. Dileep, Biju Menon, Lakshmi Rai, Baburaj, Mythili and Spadikam George played the lead roles. This had Dileep as a woman.

Sound Thoma

Sound Thoma was a comedy film directed by Vyshakh. It had Dileep playing a character with a cleft lip and defective voice. Mukesh and Namitha Pramod portrayed supporting roles.
