False News On Kavya Madhavan's Second Marriage, A Man Arrested!

Some time before, media was very much after the news which claimed that actress Kavya Madhavan is getting married for the second time. It was also reported that Kavya will be getting married to cameraman Sanjay Menon. Later, Kavya Madhavan responded through her Facebook page stating that all are fake news and that she is very upset with such news which intend to defame her. Now, it has been reported that police has arrested a man named Stephen for the same.

According to the police, Stephen runs a website named forum.bizhat.com at Edapally. Police arrested him after Kavya Madhavan filed a complaint for defamation that the accused was spreading false news about her second marriage.

Kavya filed a complaint to Kochi range IG K Padmakumar saying the false and offensive news against her were posted on the website. The message was posted a few months ago that Kavya would be marrying Sanjay Menon. Following the same many channels carried the news, thus making it viral.

The IG told the North Circle Inspector to investigate the matter and the police tracked down Stephan, the owner of the website, with the assistance of cyber cell.

"The accused was arrested from the Edappally area and a case has been registered under Section 66A of IT Act for sending false message through websites and blogs. However, during the interrogation, he told police that information of Kavya's second marriage was available on other film websites and he had copied it," said MG Sabu, Circle Inspector, Ernakulam North.

Later, Kavya said that it was her brother who is getting married and not her!
