Lijo's Amen to be remade in Hindi with Ranbir Kapoor in lead

Director Lijo Jose Pellissery's recent release Amen has become a huge success at the Mollywood Box Office besides receiving rave reviews from critics. Now, this movie is all set to invade B-Town. Yes! This super-hit Malayalam movie is reportedly being remade in Hindi. Popular actor Ranbir Kapoor is playing one of the two leads in the Bollywood version of this film.

Amen is a romantic musical satire. Set in the backdrop of a Christian church, the movie revolves around the love story of a talented clarinet player and a rich contractor's daughter. The film starring Fahadh Fazil, Indrajith, Swati Reddy, Natasha Sahgal and Rachana Narayanankutty lead roles, was successful in impressing the viewers with its top-notch visuals, magnificent narrative style, superb performances.

The latest buzz in Mollywood is that a noted producer from Bollywood has been impressed with the story and screenplay of the film Amen. It is reported that in a bid to remake it in Hindi, the producer is currently in talks with makers of the Malayalam film for its remake rights. He is all excited to bag the rights soon and make an official announcement about its Hindi version very shortly.

Reports suggest further that the Bollywood producer has plans to rope in Ranbir Kapoor, who is likely to play Solomon - the role played by Fahadh Fazil in the original. People from the industry feel that it will be a special magic in Ranbir's career. The producer is yet decide on the actor for Indrajeet's role Father Vincent Vettoli.
