Mammootty As Farmer In Praise The Lord

Mammootty was in news for his promotion of farming and its importance. He is all set to essay the same role in one of his upcoming movie tilted Praise The Lord. Immanuel fame Reenu Mathews, who played his wife in the film, will once again play opposite him in Praise The Lord. The movie is directed by Shibu Gangadharan.

Joy (Mammootty) is an immensely rich Pala based farmer. He is hardly aware of the life beyond his small town in Pala as he didn't get much chance to explore the outside world. But a boy and girl, who are in love, change Joy's outlook on life. This forms the plot of the story.

Praise the Lord is a pure adaptation of Zacharia's novel 'Praise The Lord', which also has the same title. It brings out the humorous elements and the innocence expressed by the villagers. Mukesh, who did a cameo role in Immanuel with Mammootty, will be seen in a prominent role in this movie. TP Devarajan has penned the script for this film. Milan Jaleel is producing the film under the banner of Galaxy Films. The movie will be shot in Kottayam and Delhi and is expected to start rolling from November 1.

Meanwhile, Mammootty's Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus was just an average movie. But his performance as Jesus Christ has won great applause. Mammootty's upcoming flicks include Balyakalsakhi, The Gangster and Black Investigators.
