Meera Jasmine playing Miss Tharoor in MLTK

Thiruvananthapuram: Of late, actress Meera Jasmine is signing more women-centric films. The Malayalam actress, who has donned a serial rape victim in Lissammayude Veedu, is doing another female-oriented movie titled Miss Lekha Tharoor Kaanunnathu (MLTK), which features her as a prime time telly anchor, who has visions which the others consider as illusions. Directed by Shajiyem, the film will hit the screens next month.

Miss Lekha Tharoor Kaanunnathu is a scary fantasy film, which is neither a family drama nor a horror flick. The movie is all about a dynamic media person Lekha, who unexpectedly starts envisaging happenings that cannot be accepted according to the general perception. Considering her to be a psychic, she is sent for medical counselling. The rest of the movie deals with Lekha's fantasies.

Director Shajiyem, who is known for his tele-serials, says that Miss Lekha Tharoor Kaanunnathu is a performance-oriented film, which takes place in Kochi. He approached talented actress Meera Jasmine, who accepted it immediately after hearing the story. She is playing the title role in the movie. "Meera has done a stellar performance," says Shajiyem.

Miss Lekha Tharoor Kaanunnathu, which is produced by KK Suresh Chandran under the banner of Saranam Pictures, features Cinema Company fame Bhadri as Lekha's doctor. Shankar, Nandu, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Geetha Vijayan are playing other important roles in it. Ramesh Narayan is scoring music for the lyrics of Refeeq Ahmad. The shooting of the film was held at Kochi, Pollachi and Palakkad.
