MLA K Muraleedharan, Additional Chief Secretary Dr KM Abraham and others will do the felicitation. The association members declared that after accepting this award, Mohanlal will be announced as the honorary ambassador of the association.
This is the first time an actor from the Mollywood industry is being awarded with such an honour. Mohanlal was earlier awarded the Colonel rank and is the in-charge of the Kannur regiment.
Mohanlal is currently busy with the shooting of his film Geetanjali, directed by Priyadarshan. Keerthi Menaka and Nishan play the lead in this film. Mohanlal plays the role of a psychiatrist in this movie.
