Mohanlal recently posted a message in favour of Bollywood megastar Sanjay Dutt, who is right now sentenced to five year imprisonment.

Not many of you might know that Sanjay Dutt is a good friend of our superstar Mohanlal! Recently, on his Facebook page, he wrote, "Over the last 20 years my colleague and friend Mr. Sanjay Dutt has been a reformed and good citizen, a loving family man and a person who has braved adversity and come out stronger and better." He further added, "He certainly deserves our compassion and help to put this chapter behind him once and for all. I sincerely hope and pray that he is shown the leniency he truly deserves and is granted a pardon."

Well, these words did not go very well with a certain section of the people and, hence there has been a strong demand to withdraw the Lieutenant Colonel of the Territorial Army honour that Mohanlal has been bestowed with.
