Nayantara completes 10 years of her acting career. The actress made her debut with the Malayalam movie Manasinakkare opposite Jayaram, in 2003. She has also completed 40 films in her career till now. Having reached her 10th year of successful career, the actress is still the most popular star in the industry.
Nayantara has now become an expensive actress. She owns the
throne of 'queen of stardom' even now. She has acted in almost 40
films in all the South Indian languages - Malayalam, Kannada,
Telugu and Tamil. Nayantara has more than five films under filming.

The movie was a family entertainer and won much appreciation. She
won the Asianet Award for Best Female New Face of the Year
This was her first Tamil movie opposite Rajinikanth. The film
became one of the most successful Tamil films in the history,
running for over 800 days in theatres. Thus, Nayantara became one
of the most-sought actresses in Tamil. She was nominated for
Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in Tamil.
Thaskara Veeran (2005)
This was her debut movie opposite Mammootty. She played his lady
love in the film. The film also starred Madhu, Innocent, Rajan P
Dev, Siddique, Mamukkoya, etc. It has a dubbed Hindi version which
is called Kala Samrajya.
Vallavan was written and directed by TR Silambarasan,
starring himself in the title role along with Nayantara, Reema Sen
and Sandhya. Santhanam, Premji Amaren, Sathyan and S Ve Shekhar
were seen playing supporting roles.
Venkatesh played opposite her in this Boyapati Srinu directed
movie. This film had its story lines similar to its before film
Daddy. Nayantara was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best
Telugu Actress for this film.
Ajith and Nayantara played the lead roles while Prabhu Ganesan,
Namitha, Rahman, Adithya and Santhanam were seen in supporting
roles. The film had a high financial success after its release, and
was screened at the 61st Cannes Film Festival. She also nominated

Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008)
Dhanush played opposite her in Yaaradi Nee Mohini. The
film was a remake of the 2007 Telugu hit film Aadavari Matalaku
Ardhalu Verule, directed by Selvaraghavan which starred
Venkatesh and Trisha Krishnan. She was nominated the Filmfare Award
for Best Tamil Actress for the film and won Vijay Award for
Surya and Nayantara played lead roles in this film. The film was
dubbed into Telugu as Ghatikudu. She was nominated for
Vijay Award for Favourite Heroine.
This movie marked her comeback in Mollywood after four years.
Dileep played opposite her in this Siddique directed film. She won
the Asianet Award for Best Actress for this film. Prabhu Deva
choreographed the song sequences for Bodyguard. The movie
got remade in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Telugu.
Sri Rama Rajyam (2011)
This Telugu film, based on the epic Ramayana, had her playing
the role of Seetha. The film bagged seven Andhra Pradesh State
Nandi Awards, including the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film -
(Gold) for the year 2011.
Krishnan Vande Jagadgurum (2012)
It was directed by Krish. It received universal acclaim for
combining the art form of Surabhi and an action flick based on
illegal mining in Bellary. Rana Daggubati and Nayantara were seen
