Nayantara completes 10 years of her acting career. The actress made her debut with the Malayalam movie Manasinakkare opposite Jayaram, in 2003. She has also completed 40 films in her career till now. Having reached her 10th year of successful career, the actress is still the most popular star in the industry.

This was her debut movie. It had Jayaram playing opposite her. The movie also marked the comeback of yesteryear actress Sheela. The movie was a family entertainer and won much appreciation. She won the Asianet Award for Best Female New Face of the Year 2003.
This was her first Tamil movie opposite Rajinikanth. The film became one of the most successful Tamil films in the history, running for over 800 days in theatres. Thus, Nayantara became one of the most-sought actresses in Tamil. She was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in Tamil.
Thaskara Veeran (2005)
This was her debut movie opposite Mammootty. She played his lady love in the film. The film also starred Madhu, Innocent, Rajan P Dev, Siddique, Mamukkoya, etc. It has a dubbed Hindi version which is called Kala Samrajya.
Vallavan was written and directed by TR Silambarasan, starring himself in the title role along with Nayantara, Reema Sen and Sandhya. Santhanam, Premji Amaren, Sathyan and S Ve Shekhar were seen playing supporting roles.
Venkatesh played opposite her in this Boyapati Srinu directed movie. This film had its story lines similar to its before film Daddy. Nayantara was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Telugu Actress for this film.

Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008)
Dhanush played opposite her in Yaaradi Nee Mohini. The film was a remake of the 2007 Telugu hit film Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule, directed by Selvaraghavan which starred Venkatesh and Trisha Krishnan. She was nominated the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress for the film and won Vijay Award for Favourite Heroine.
Surya and Nayantara played lead roles in this film. The film was dubbed into Telugu as Ghatikudu. She was nominated for Vijay Award for Favourite Heroine.

This Telugu film, based on the epic Ramayana, had her playing the role of Seetha. The film bagged seven Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Awards, including the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film - (Gold) for the year 2011.
Krishnan Vande Jagadgurum (2012)
It was directed by Krish. It received universal acclaim for combining the art form of Surabhi and an action flick based on illegal mining in Bellary. Rana Daggubati and Nayantara were seen in the lead roles. Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum was released as Ongaram in Tamil and awaits a dubbed release in Hindi.
