For all you fans of Nedumudi Venu, who feel that they haven't seen him for a long time onscreen, here is good news for you! Debutante director Anoop Raj will have Nedumudi Venu star as the protagonist in the film Gamer.
Gamer, which will be shot in Ponmudi, will also star Thalaivasal Vijay, Jagadeesh, Krishnakumar and Tejasri. Anoop Raj has been an associate director to many big names in the industry.
Apart from the main star cast, Devadevan, the son of actor Vijayaraghavan, Basil (who debuted in Cinema Company) and John, who played a significant role in Tournament will also be seen in Gamer.
Gamer is a suspense thriller, produced by Tomy and Sunu. While Shaheen Abbas is the music director, Narayan Swami is the cinematographer.

Nedumudi Venu was born to PK Kesavan and P Kunjikkuttiyamma in Nedumudi, Alappuzha as one of their five children. His real name is K Venu Gopal.
Nedumudi Venu began his career in theatre and went on to act in films. He debuted in the film Thambu (1978) by director G Aravindan.
Nedumudi Venu was involved in art and music since his academic period. He was also a member of the Kerala Students Union.
Venu also wrote scripts for movies and also wrote stories for films Kattathe Kilikkoodu, Theertham, Sruthi, Ambada Njane, Oru Katha Oru Nunnakkatha, Savidham and Angane Oru Avadhikkalathu.
Nedumudi Venu tried his hand in direction with Pooram. He has also acted in a few Tamil films with director Shankar, such as Kamal Hasan's Indian and Vikram's Anniyan.
Venu has also acted in some television serials. He won the Best Actor award for his role in Saira at the Zimbabwe International Film Festival which concluded in September 2007.
