Parvathi Menon is on a high!

Does anyone of you remember Parvathi Menon? The anchor-turned-actor was no where seen or heard for quite a long time. But now she is back and that too opposite Dhanush. She is playing the female lead in Dhanush movie Mariyaan.

Directed by Bharat Bala, the movie has Parvathi playing the role Panimalar. Parvathy was an anchor in Kiran TV. She made her debut in acting through Malayalam film Out Of Syllabus, in the year 2006. She was well noticed for her performance in the film Notebook, which said the story of three school friends and their friendship. Her debut Kannada movie Milana was a blockbuster in Sandalwood.

She won the filmfare best Tamil actress award and Vijay Award for best actress in her debut film Poo. She has done almost five films in Malayalam which also includes Vinodayathra, Flash and City Of God. In Kannada, she did four films. In Tamil, Mariyaan is her third film which will be releasing this Friday.

Mariyaan was earlier set to release in June, but Dhanush had another flick that was to be released on the same time. So the director delayed its release. AR Rahman has scored the music for the film, which is already a chartbusters.
