Today (15 August), India is celebrating its 69th Independence Day. Indian cinema has witnessed a lot of movies based on patriotism. Many have won accolades and some just came and vanished. But still, people love to watch such movies.
As far as Malayalam industry is concerned, there are a few but
worth-watching patriotic movies. Some are very popular, while some
are not. In Mollywood, Mammootty and Mohanlal have done movies which have
patriotism as its subject.
Major Ravi was the director who incorporated the theme of
patriotism more into Malayalam films. His combo with Mohanlal gave
birth to many such movies which inspired its audience.
