Punyalan Agarbattis Based On A Real Life Incident!

Director Ranjith Sankar is a software engineer by profession. But, due to his craze for movies, he chose direction as his profession, leaving back his career in the software field. His debut movie Passenger was a Blockbuster, through which Ranjith proved that he is having his career in movies only. Later came movies like Arjunan Sakshi and Molly Aunty Rocks, which again proved the director's caliber. All these films bore some instincts which makes one feel that it can happen to a common man. His latest release Punyalan Agarbattis also falls into the same category.

Ranjith says that Punyalan Agarbattis is based on a real life incident that has happened to one of his close relation. From then, Ranjith wanted to do a film on the story, but he did not get the opportunity for the same.Now Ranjith is happy that his dream is finally hitting the screens today as Punyalan Agarbattis.

Jayasurya plays the lead role in this film, while Nyla Usha plays the female lead. The movie tells the story about a Thrissur based man, who aims to become a businessman. After a lot of research, he finds out that making agarbattis from Elephant dung is the best business, which is also not popular. Raw material is easily available and so he makes a deal with the Devaswom Board to supply him with the raw material.

Things go against him after a new Devaswom Board manager joins, who cancels his contract with the Board. He lands in trouble from then and hunt begins in search of Elephant Dung. Rest forms the story.

The animation video, which was released earlier, was a big hit. Also, Jayasurya has turned a singer in this movie. His song too has hit the chartbusters. Punyalan Agarbattis is getting released today and hope that the movie too becomes a hit!
