Rima Kallingal is in limelight these days. She won the Best Actress Award at the 60th Idea South Filmfare Awards for her performance in 22 Female Kottayam. It seems she is keeping that instinct to do experimental roles. Rima Kallingal will now be seen playing the role of a mother for the first time. She plays the mother of a three and a half year old daughter in her upcoming movie Escape From Uganda.

Escape From Uganda is directed by Rajesh Nair. The movie is completely shot in Africa. This is the first time a Malayalam movie is shot in Africa. The climax of the film is shot in the Luzira Maximum Security Prison, a notorious prison in Uganda. The team claims that the movie has been shot at the source of the Nile, near hot water springs and even live volcanoes.

The movie is based on a real incident. It tells the story of a family living in Uganda, who gets trapped in the country. Rima is said to be performing stunts in the movie. The stunts will be coordinated by Hollywood stunt masters.

Tamil actor Parthiban is seen in a prominent role in Escape From Uganda. Other cast in the film includes Mukesh, Thasu Kaushik, Vijay Babu, Mythili and Babu Anthony. Rajesh Nair has written the story of the film, and the screenplay is by 3G. The film is expected to go on floors by this September.
