Rivals In Mollywood: Mammootty-Suresh Gopi, Dileep-Prithviraj And Others
Every industry is brimmed with glamour and gossips. Bollywood holds the first place in all these categories. Mollywood is not famous for either glamour nor gossips. But recently some cold wars between the actors have made the industry to become popular as the industry of rivals.
Mollywood doesn't have many rivals, but there are a few among them who do not wish to see each other's face even for the sake of it. The latest pair to get added to this category was Major Ravi and Unni Mukundan. The director and the actor were said to have a big fight on the sets of the movie Salaam Kashmir.
Another pair that came into light for the same was Suresh Gopi and Mammootty. The news about their rivalry came out after Suresh Gopi revealed it at a press conference. Though he did not reveal the reason for the fight, rumours are in air which states that Mammootty was the reason for replacing Suresh Gopi with Sarath Kumar in the epic movie Pazhassi Raja. Though this news is not yet confirmed, the rivalry between the actors have become the talk of the town.
The actors are having issues due to minor egos, which gets prolonged and becomes a serious issue only because they do not step forward to clear it out. There are incidents were some rivalry ended up in friendship. While some rivalries just vanished when one among the rivals passed away.

The rivalry between these two actors came out soon after Suresh Gopi made a public statement at a press conference. It is strange that Mammootty has not made a comment even now.
Dileep-Prithviraj
Dileep and Prithviraj have acted together in a film Twenty 20. But even now they are having issues with each other and do not pose together!
Mohanlal-Jagathy Sreekumar
They were rivals once upon a time, but now they are good friends. Jagathy even visited the sets of Mohanlal's movie Geethanjali in spite of his bad health.
Jayaram-Suresh Gopi
The duo is another example for rivals turned friends. They have acted together in many films and now they will be seen together in the upcoming movie Salaam Kashmir, releasing this month.
Nedumudi Venu-Thilakan
Late Thilakan had made public statements claiming that Nedumudi had snatched many of his roles.

Both these actors had made statements which clearly stated that they were having issues.
Jayaram-Rajasenan
Jayaram was always the favourite hero of Rajasenan once upon a time. Jayaram used to play the lead in all his films. But something went wrong between the two and now they are rivals.
Unni Mukundan-Major Ravi
Unni Mukundan and Major Ravi are the last pair to enter the rivals category. Majar Ravi made fun of Unni on the sets of a movie that has resulted in the issue with the two. Unni has confirmed that he will not act in any Major Ravi movie in future.
