Saranya Mohan In 'Thakkali'

Saranya Mohan is more popular in Kollywood than Mollywood. She has done only quite a few movies in Malayalam, which is her mother tongue. After a long gap, the actress is coming back to Malayalam. She will be playing the female lead in the upcoming movie titled Thakkali.

Thakkali is directed by Rajesh Kannangara. Krish Sathar plays opposite Saranya in this film. It has been reported that the actress will be having meaty sequences to perform in Thakkali. According to the director, Thakkali can be categorised for the new generation people. Shekhar Menon is also seen in a pivotal role.

Thakkali will be officially launched on 25th August 2013. The film is produced under the banner of MKR Film Company by Sajeer Rawther. Seenu Siddharth will be wielding the camera for Thakkali. Rajesh Kannangara has planned to shoot the entire movie outside of Kerala and will start by September or October first week.

Saranya made her debut in the industry as a child artist with the movie Aniyathipravu. Chemistry was her first movie in Malayalam as a female lead. It was a horror movie. Perinoru Makan was Saranya's last release in Malayalam. Hope Thakkali helps her to set her foot firmly in Malayalam.
