Shalu Menon denies her involvement in Biju's solar scam

People in Kerala are yet to forget the news about model-turned-actress Leena Maria Paul's cheating case, here is another Mallu girl whose name is dragged in the Solar scam. She is none other than small-time Malayalam actress Shalu Menon, whose close links with kingpin Biju Radhakrishnan have made the police put her activities under the magnifying glass. But she has denied her involvement in the energy equipment scam.

It is reported with the help of Shalu Menon, Biju Radhakrishnan embezzled Rs 25 lakh from NRK businessman Rafiq Aly. Speaking to media at her residence at Perunna in Changanassery, she said that she was unaware of Biju's background and his tainted business activities. She added that she and her mother got acquainted with Biju around nine months ago and maintained a good relationship with him.

Meanwhile, Shalu Menon claims that she herself was cheated by Biju Radhakrishnan. "I was unaware of Biju's criminal background. I had paid Rs 20 lakh for setting up a solar panel for my new house and dance school at Thiruvalla. However, it was only later I realised that I was duped," New Indian Express quotes the actress as saying.

Shalu Menon is very upset with some media establishments for publishing baseless reports that maligned her reputation. She says that she would file a defamation case against them. "Let them produce evidence. I would file defamation suits against media firms that publish baseless reports that denigrate an unmarried woman," the actress said.
