Suresh Gopi Replaces Mammootty In CBI Series!

When the news about the fifth series of Sethurama Iyer CBI was out, it was confirmed that Mammootty will be a part of the new series too. But, now the script writer has confirmed that Mammootty will not be a part of the new series. Instead, the lead role will be played by Suresh Gopi.

According to script writer SN Swamy, he approached Mammootty with the script of the new series. The new one had a bit more challenging role and Mammootty, who is currently too busy with his schedules, opined that it would be more better if the character of Harry is brought into limelight. Harry was played by Suresh Gopi in the earlier version.

The new series will also be directed by K Madhu. Mukesh, who played Chacko in the earlier version, and Sai Kumar, who played Sathya Das earlier, will be seen in this version too. The script writer says that the new version will also have the same thrilling experience similar to the earlier versions. In fact, he added that the new one will be having more novelty in it.

Meanwhile, Suresh Gopi made a public statement that he and Mammootty are not in good terms even now and he do not wish to make the reason public. Suresh Gopi said that if he make the reason of the rivalry between him and Mammootty public, people will favour him. But, now we see that Suresh Gopi will play the lead in the CBI series due to the saying of Mammootty. So, we hope that the cold war between the two will soon come to an end!
