Thiruvananthapuram: Actress Surja Bala Hijam, who is considered as the most youngest and vibrant actress in Manipur film industry, is now all set to debut in Mollywood with Sameer Thahir's much-hyped film Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. The Manipuri lass will romance Megastar Mammootty's son, actor Dulquar Salman in her first Malayalam movie.
Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi is a soul searching road movie, which explores politics, religion and identity through a graceful love story. The highly-talked about film revolves around the story of two youngsters, who put together a trip from Kerala to Nagaland travelling on bikes.
Dulquar Salman and Sunny Wayne are playing two youngsters in Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi. Surja Bala Hijam will essay the role of an Engineering student in the film. She joins an engineering college in Kerala under North East quota. During her studies, she meets Dulquar and becomes friend with him. Their friendship later turns into romance.
Hashir Mohamed has penned the story for Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi and cinematographer-turned-director Sameer Thahir has co-written the screenplay for it with Hashir. Rex Vijayan will compose music for the movie, while Gireesh Gangadharan cranks the camera for it. Produced by Happy Hours Entertainments and Surya Cine Arts, the film will release on August 8, 2013.
