Iyer In Pakistan has been in news for one or the other reason ever since director Fazil announced it. The latest buzz is that the director has roped in actor Unni Mukundan for an important role in this much-hyped project. The Orissa star is all excited to share screen space with Mammootty's son, actor Dulquar Salman, who is playing the lead role in the movie.
Previously, Fazil had cast Fahad Fazil for the role in the film Iyer In Pakistan and the actor had even done a photo shoot for it. But later, walked out of the project stating that he was not happy with the screenplay of the movie. Hence, the director approached Unni Mukundan, who agreed to essay the role. He is not bothered about being the second choice for the film. He says, "Not being the original choice does not put me down!"
Now, Unni Mukundan, who has done a guest appearance in the Dulquar's film Theevram, can not wait to shoot with him again in Iyer In Pakistan. "Dulquar is a gem of a person and I remember during the shooting of Theevram, we had talked about doing something on the lines of Sholay, but then we got busy with other projects," the Deccan Chronicle quotes Unni as saying.
Iyer In Pakistan is produced by M Mani under the banner of Aroma Productions. The movie will feature Jagathy's daughter Sreelakshmy and Sanusha in the female leads. Unni Mukundan is expected to take up its filming after completing his current projects Ithu Pathiramanal, Orissa, Samrajyam II: Son of Alexander, Kaattum Mazhayum and D Company.
