Late Uthradam Thirunaal Wanted To Dine With Mammootty!

Thiruvananthapuram city came to know the death of His Highness Uthradam Thirunaal Marthanda Varma through AIR (All India Radio). It was a saddening news for all the people out there that they rushed to see a glimpse of their King. Uthradam Thirunaal was a soft-spoken, gentle and a scholarly man with wide range of interests. Many celebrities came to pay respect and among them Suresh Gopi shares the last wish of the late King.

Suresh Gopi had met His Highness Uthradam Thirunaal a few days before he was admitted to the hospital. In their conversation, Uthradam Thirunaal told Suresh Gopi, "I had dined with you (Suresh Gopi) and Mohanlal. Now, I want to dine with none other than Mammootty."

Since His Highness was in the hospital, Suresh Gopi could not make his wish become true. But, he had planned to make it happen once Uthradam Thirunaal leaves the hospital. Now, His Highness is no more and one of his last wish remains incomplete.

The mortal remains of Uthradam Thirunaal were to be moved to the Kowdiar Palace yesterday by 1.30 pm, so that the final rites could begin by 2.30 pm. But it was a mark of the man's popularity that the crowd continued to Levy Hall to pay their last tribute that the programme was delayed by two hours.
