Vedivazhipadu Gets A Certificate!

The much controversial movie Vedivazhipadu, which recently got a disapproval from the censor board, has finally got A certificate. The movie stars Indrajith, Murali Gopy, Anusree, Mythili in the lead roles.

The movie was earlier banned by the censor board and declared that the movie cannot be certified. Director Shibu Gangadharan wrote on the official page of the movie: Last Monday, when I walked in to the conference room to meet the Censor Board members, the only thing I had in my mind was What is it going to be? U/A or A.

Shibu wrote, "But when I was told that the film cannot be certified at all, it came as a rude shock. Right now, our film is in front of the revising committee and I hope that, this time, we are going to get justice. In India, a film needs to be certified by the censor board before it could be shown to the PUBLIC. Refusing to certify a film is in effect as good as banning it.

UNFORTUNATE is the only word for this."

The main highlight of the film is that the movie has no songs. Vedivazhipadu tells the story that happens in the city of Thiruvananthapuram in 24 hours, from 3 pm one day to 3 pm next day. The story is being told in the backdrop of the famous Aattukal Pongala.

The director has used a simple, straight forward and linear narrative as he thinks that an interesting incident can make a good film. Other cast include Saiju Kurup, Anumol and Sreejith Ravi. The movie is produced under the banner of Karmayug Movies.
