Vijay Babu is on a high. His last movie Philips And The Monkey Pen, which had him playing the role of a teacher, is running successfully all over and is a hit. He is also ready to turn producer with the movie Kalyanam. Sandra Thomas is his partner in it. Now, the latest news is that Vijay Babu has replaced Dulquar Salman.
Now, do not mistake it for a movie, Vijay Babu has been roped in an ad for anti-liquor awareness. They had planned to cast Dulquar in the same at first. But, the actor is too busy with his projects. So, they have decided to cast Vijay Babu in the ad.
The makers of the ad claim that they have opted Vijay Babu considering his increasing acceptability among youngsters, the actual target of the anti-liquor campaign. Additional Excise Commissioner N Prasanth said that the post production work of the ad is in progress.
The duration of the advertisement is 30 seconds, which goes through the tragedies caused by liquor on those waiting in a long queue in front of a liquor outlet. Vijay will be seen advising a youngster who is seen joining the queue.
Considering the financial constraints of the Government, the ad film is being produced with a minimal cost. "We also have a couple of other themes for effectively conveying the ill effects of liquor. Those would be produced in due course," said Prasanth.
