Ever
since
the
two
movies
Geethanjali
and
Thira
got
released,
various
comments
are
flowing
saying
that
both
the
movies
have
been
copied
or
inspired
from
some
other
sources.
Priyadarshan,
director
of
Geethanjali,
has
not
come
forward
giving
an
explanation
to
these
comments.
But,
Vineeth
is
indeed
brave.
The
Thira
director
has
come
forward
confessing
-
yes,
Thira
is
inspired!
On
his
Facebook
page,
he
wrote,
"A
few
people
have
been
asking
me
if
Thira
is
inspired
from
certain
films
[international
&
malayalam]..
some
of
these
films
i
have
seen,
some
others
i
have
not..
One
thing
i
can
say
is
that;
if
u
look
at
all
these
films
including
Thira,
u
ll
find
one
thing
in
common..
the
story..
Every
film
based
on
kidnapping
or
trafficking
has
the
same
story.
Someone
gets
kidnapped
and
someone
goes
in
search
of
them.
I
believe
that's
how
it'll
happen
in
life
as
well
as
in
movies."
"The
real
inspiration
of
Thira
is
the
autobiography
of
Somaly
Mam
-
The
Road
Of
Lost
Innocence.
We
have
also
been
inspired
by
the
lives
of
Sunita
Krishnan
and
Anuradha
Koirala..
A
genuine
effort
has
been
made
to
keep
the
characters
authentic
and
their
problems
real.
And
i
am
really
happy
that
people
are
acknowledging
it.
Thought
i
owe
this
explanation
to
u
guys..
take
care
everyone."
Thira
will
be
releasing
outside
Kerala,
today.
