Akanksha Puri Says Mammootty Is Her Style Icon!

After Nikki Galrani and Nanditha Raj, the latest girl to make her debut in Mollywood is Akanksha Puri. She has played the role of Anni in the movie Praise The Lord, which is getting released today (March 20). Mammootty and Reenu Mathews play the lead roles in this movie. Akanksha says that she is very excited about the movie as she got a chance to act along with Mammootty, whom she considers her style icon!

Akanksha says that Praise The Lord is not her first Malayalam movie, but it is Samrajyam, which is yet to be released. Unni Mukundan plays the lead role in that flick. She is happy that Praise The Lord is a much anticipated movie and says that she is looking forward to see how it goes.

Akanksha added that she learned Malayalam for this movie and has dubbed herself for her role in the film, to give more perfection. Her character Anni is a girl, who is born and brought up outside Kerala and is not that fluent in Malayalam. So, Akanksha, who hails from Madhya Pradesh, is also ignorant in Malayalam.

Moreover, Akanksha says that there are many similarities between herself and the character that she has played in the film. So, she did not find her role much challenging. Now, all hopes are focussed on the movie Praise The Lord, which is releasing today. Hope it brings a great start to Akanksha in Mollywood.
