CCL 4 - Terrific Victory For Kerala Strikers, Beats Telugu Warriors By 4 Wickets!

The fourth year of CCL - Celebrity Cricket League has already kicked off. As we all were aware, the first match of Kerala Strikers happened yesterday, 26th of January at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. They played against Telugu Warriors, and won by 4 wickets against their opponents.

The match started off quite well with Kerala Strikers. Though they wanted to bat fist, the toss went against them. In spite of that, the bowlers gave an outstanding performance and managed to curb the Telugu Warriors from hitting too hard on to the bat, and stopped them from scoring good run rate.

Telugu Warriors manged to get a score of 142 runs from 20 overs. The only disadvantage that Kerala Strikers faced was a bad injury that the captain of the team, Rajeev Pillai had met with. He got a sprain on his leg and this prevented him from being the opener, when the batting came.

Now, though the starting was good, somewhere it went wrong with the batting that gradually the run rate came down for the Kerala Strikers. Telugu Warriors' bowler Aadharsh gave a good performance indeed that put the Kerala Strikers into a tight match. It was a spectacular moment for the Kerala team when the victory happened.

Apart from Rajeev, Bineesh Kodiyeri, Rakhendhu and Suresh Nair also batted well for the team. Mohanlal is the non-playing captain of Kerala Strikers. Mythili and Bhavana are the brand ambassadors of the team. Venkatesh is the captain of Telugu Warriors.
