Jayasurya, the versatile Malayalam actor, is all set to play the lead in Priyadarshan's upcoming comedy Aamayum Muyalum. In a recent interview, the actor confirmed that he is playing the lead in the Priyadarshan film.
Jayasurya, who is a die-hard fan of Priyadarshan, is very excited about the project. He says that it is a dream-come-true opportunity for him.
He is currently filming for Apothecary, directed by Madhav Ramadasan, Iyobinte Pusthakam directed by Amal Neerad, Lal Bahadur Shastri, and Seconds. His son Adwaith makes his on-screen debut with Lal Bahadur Shastri. The actor will soon join the sets of Aadu Oru Bheekarajeeviyanu, directed by debutant Midhum Manuel Thomas.
Priyadarshan was reportedly planning a movie with Fahad Fazil and Keerthi Suresh. But the project got delayed due to Fahad's tight schedule. His last directorial venture, Geethanjali, which was a spin-off of blockbuster movie Manichithrathazhu, was huge box office disaster. The movie earned highly negative reviews for its weak execution.
Aamayum Muyalum is reported to be an out-and-out entertainer. Model Pia will be essaying the female lead opposite Jayasurya in the movie. Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Harisree Ashokan and Manianpilla Raju will play other important roles in the movie. Singer-composer M G Sreekumar handles the music department. The movie is slated to release for Christmas.
