Kasthuri Turns Amala Paul's Mom

Amala Paul has got a popular name to play her mom in forthcoming Malayalam movie Mili. Yesteryear actress Kasthuri will be returning to Mollywood with this movie as her mother in the flick.

Kasthuri was popular actress in Tamil and Telugu. She had acted in a couple of Malayalam films of which Jayaram starrer Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava is remembered by audience even today.

She plays the role named Nancy and Kasthuri will be seen as the sister of the character played by Nivin Pauly. Amala Paul will be playing the title role of Mili. According to director Rajesh Pillai, who is returning to films after blockbuster Traffic, his latest Malayalam movie is a inspirational movie.

Rajesh Pillai says that Mili was supposed to be directed by VK Prakash. The former, after hearing the story from Mahesh Narayanan, requested the latter to allow him to take up the project.

"Mahesh narrated the story to me just to hear my opinion and I was so enthralled by it that I literally begged him to let me do the film instead. That was my story he was narrating and I am the one with the massive inferiority complex, not VKP who is just the opposite, so cool and collected! I was really like a child crying for its favourite toy until Mahesh acquiesced," Rajesh Pillai told the Hindu.
