petition
on
Wednesday
before
the
Ernakulam
Chief
Judicial
Magistrate
Court
against
its
producers
Ajay
Gosh
and
Bijoy
Chandran,
alleging
that
he
was
not
fully
paid
for
his
work
in
the
film.
Kunchako
Boban
stated
in
the
petition
that
a
majority
of
the
sum
had
been
paid,
but
a
cheque
of
Rs
4.5
lakhs
had
bounced.
The
actor
alleged
that
the
producers
refused
to
pay
the
amount
despite
his
legal
notice.
Hence,
he
decided
to
go
ahead
with
this
legal
action.
Romans
faced
lots
of
controversies
during
its
release
regarding
the
content
of
the
movie.
Some
religious
communities
protested
against
screening
of
the
movie,
alleging
that
the
film
made
fun
of
religion
and
priests.
Kunchako
Boban
also
raised
eyebrows
during
the
promotions
when
he
stated
that
he
won't
work
with
the
production
house
in
future.
He
also
repeated
the
statement
in
a
chat
show
aired
by
a
TV
channel.
All
the
speculations
about
his
statements
came
to
an
end
with
this
legal
action
against
the
producers.
